rideshare MOBILE GaMES

I brought these branded mobile games to life for a range of advertisers, handling everything from initial concept and visual design to animation and final development. These games are live on Octopus Interactive’s rideshare tablets, so if you see one in your next Uber or Lyft ride be sure to play it or play the demos below!

Mcdonald’s

The Angel Reese Special Contest

For their collaboration with WNBA star Angel Reese, McDonald’s wanted to create a basketball game that harkened back to early 90s hip-hop music video aesthetic with tactile grungy paper collage visuals. I was all too happy to oblige! In this game the player has to score 3 baskets, each using a unique item from the Angel Reese QPC Special Meal (BBQ Bacon QPC, fries and a Hi-C to wash it down).

Samsung

A key feature of the Samsung Galaxy Flip phone is its unique ability to fold in half. So naturally it seemed like a great fit to develop a Pac-Man inspired game where the phone consumes pellets on screen. Once the user presses the big red button, the phone turns a corner to eat icons that represent different capabilities of the Galaxy Flip 4 phone.

Skillz

Rideshare Bubble Cube 2

Skillz develops mobile games for phones, so when they wanted to bring the Bubble Cube 2 experience to rideshare tablets the game had to be rebuilt from the ground up. I handled all this, converting it from portrait to landscape and worked closely with our engineering team to ensure the interactive elements matched the original game.

OCTOPUS

NCAA Backseat Bracket

Throughout March Madness 2025, I created several of these interactive surveys. Every day rideshare passengers would tap to guess which team they thought was most likely to win, and I’d work closely with the engineering team at Octopus to update the responses with realtime data.

Google

PIXEL PERFECT PERSONA

Have you ever wondered what type of phone you might be? In honor of the collaboration between Google and T-Mobile, these brands wanted to create a personality test highlighting the various colors of the Google Pixel phone. While it was at first difficult to blend the visual branding of these two companies together, both were extremely pleased with the results.

HEB

mi Tienda Claw Game

In this classic claw game, the user is shown several items that they can try to grab before the time is up. With some careful timing the claw picks up one of several HEB Mi Tienda products before dropping it into the gift area. The player is then presented with a discount to enjoy at participating HEB stores so they can enjoy their “prizes” in real life!

Hard Rock Bet

MLS Penalty Kick

To boost awareness of Hard Rock Bet’s collaboration with the Fifa 2025 World Cup, they asked to create a soccer game. Users have to tap at just the right time to kick the ball into the net or else the goalie will catch it.

Betonline

Endzone Dash

To celebrate the Superbowl 2024, BetOnline asked me to develop a retro arcade-style football game. In it, the player has to make it from one end of the football field to the other all while avoiding getting hit by the opposing team. Run into too many enemies and you’ll get tackled into a dogpile!

Matrix REsurrections Destiny Selector

WArner Bros.

"You take the blue pill, the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe.
You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.”
In this reactive survey, players choose to either take the blue pill or the red pill.
Their choice reveals one of two different trailers for the The Matrix Resurrections

Around different holidays and special occasions, Octopus Interactive likes to host seasonal games that users can play in between branded content. These are just a few of my favorites examples.

GOOGLE ASSISTANT API

GOOGLE

This API was developed to allow rideshare passengers to use their voice with Google Assistant. This video highlights the ability to find nearby restaurants while on the go. Fun fact, I also did the voice acting!

NATIVE APP INSTALLATION

T-Mobile

T-Mobile users have the ability to install apps onto their new phones during set up. To gain visibility, brands have the option to have their app recommended so this video was made to demonstrate this as a service.
